Si un reflet ne peut exister que tant que l’objet est présent devant la surface de représentation, dans cette série de
faux-reflets, des reflets d’objets et d'installations au sein de l'exposition sont photographiés, réimprimés et enfin replacés entre deux verres en décalage de l’objet qui n’est plus présent.
Le faux-reflet se confond alors avec le reflet présent et continue de réfléchir un état des choses qui n’existe plus ; fait tenir ce qui ne devrait plus être, venant à la fois nier le mur sur lequel il repose tout en donnant une épaisseur au présent.
Ce possible, cet écart donne alors une épaisseur au temps et jette un trouble sur la réalité de l’espace perçu.
While a reflection can only exist if the object is present in front of the reflective surface, in one series of false-reflections, reflections of the objects and installations in the exhibition are photographed, then reprinted and finally put back but between two panes of glass, offset from the object, which is no longer present.
The false reflectiont then merges with the present one, continuing to reflect a state of things that no longer exists; holding in place something that ought no longer to be, at once nullifying the wall on which it rests and giving thickness to the present time.
It is this possibility, this gap, that lends time a thickness, and suggest a doubt on the reality of perceived space.
