Expérience intime et immersive qui brouille les frontières entre acteur.ice.s et spectateur.ice.s, We All Fall / Récit est une performance participative et pluridisciplinaire conçue avec l’aide du collectif ildi ! eldi pour le projet pan-Européen, ULYSSES: A European Odyssey. Fruit de la rencontre de plusieurs demandeurs et demandeuses d’asiles et le partage de leurs récits d’exils, l’œuvre explore et revoit les notions de migration, intégration, frontières et porosité à travers une expérience collective qui est à la fois performance, rassemblement et création / installation d’une œuvre d’art. Les 25 complices suivaient des cours de langue française au CIERES (centre d’accueil et d’accompagnement pour public en difficulté) et ont assisté à cinq ateliers de co-création avant la performance. La performance est suivie d’un “banquet rond” (grand repas convivial, gratuit et ouvert à tous) où le public est invité à questionner l’espace entre récit de vie et autofiction...

An intimate, immersive experience that blurs the boundaries between actor and spectator, We All Fall / Récit is a participatory and multidisciplinary performance designed with the help of the ildi ! eldi collective for the pan-European project, ULYSSES: A European Odyssey. Fruit of the meeting of several asylum seekers and the sharing of their récits d’asile (the official exile account they are required to submit to French authorities), We All Fall… explores and revisits the themes of migration, integration, borders and porosity through a collective experience that is both performance, gathering and creation / installation of a work of art. This performance – which took place at Marseille's Ateliers Jeanne Barret on 1st October 2022 – was followed by a “banquet rond” (convivial symposium where food and ideas are free and open to all) where the public was invited to question the space between official / personal histories and autofiction… (Irish Times video-reportage here).
