La proposition consistait à ouvrir l’espace souterrain, urbain et fort fréquenté du métro à un autre et vaste espace, inséré au coeur de la ville.
Amener un sentiment d’étendue et de lumière dans la ville.
Une grande voûte en verre de 500 m2 (largeur et longueur dépliée: 14 x 36 m) traverse l’ensemble de la station. Un film photographique aggrandi à l’échelle un y aurait été inséré: un fragment de paysage, élémentaire, non pittoresque, non localisable, un paysage de peu, au bord de l’abstraction.
L’image aurait ainsi traversé la station sur ses trois niveaux, englobant le champ de vision des passants. Le film photographique translucide aurait été divisé en caissons lumineux de 1m2, et la lumière répartie en fonction de la position de la voûte et des déplacements des voyageurs (travelling ascendant ou descendant des escaliers mécaniques).

The proposition consists in opening the urban and heavily frequented underground space of the msubway onto another vast space, inserted in the heart of the city. It is a way of bringing a feeling of expanse and light into the city.
A large glass vaulted ceiling measuring 500 m2 (length and width unfolded: 14 x 36 m) spans the entire station. A large photographic film on a life-size scale would have been inserted: an elementary, non-picturesque, landscape fragment that can't be localized and that froles abstraction.
The image would have spanned the station on three levels, encompassing the passers-by field of vision. The translucid phtographic film would have been divided into lightboxes measuring I meter squared, and the light would have been distributed according to the position of the vault and the travellers movements (rising or sinking traveling shot as evoked by the escalators).
